Without the hat none of this would have been possible. She could have jumped ship anywhere other than that and not have come back so damaged, and she would not have tried if someone like you weren't there encouraging it.

Let me make this clear for you: You preyed on her desire to leave. You are equally at fault for what happened, if not more, because I genuinely do not think you cared about her safety over your own desire to be selfish and stupid.

Stay away from her. You don't talk to her. You don't write to her. You don't even look at her when she passes you in the hallway.
