Tick tock, Barge.
Do you feel it yet?
How many lives are you holding in your heads now? Numbers. I want to know who has the most. And how many more do you think you can take before you crack?

I talked to the Admiral. I want to talk to you about it.

It's not a cure for the curse- I'm trying to find ways to help with that now. But it's a start.

How thoughtful of him.

Everything I've done has been for her.

But how much of it do you want her to hear that you've done?

At least try to help me look for some alternatives.

I have... looked. And I can't make it work. You don't know. You aren't listening.

I only have half the story. You need to tell me the whole one.

Is that what you want to hear?

I think she won't care as long as she has you, when she remembers. You shouldn't deprive her of that.

I'll tell you a story, too. A long time ago there was a very little girl, who wasn't very pretty at all. Her parents realized that she wouldn't grow up to bring them much money, so it wouldn't be worth keeping her. The little girl had done nothing wrong, but they sold her anyway before they lost any of their money.
And even after that little girl was grown up, and people told her that she was one of the most beautiful people they had ever known, she still wished that she had been loved in the first place.
It's not a very happy ending, but you have a lot of love in you to give, Jefferson. I can see that. That's what breaks curses. Hate is what starts them. Every single person I asked told me that.
